What To Expect

When you are looking for a veterinary hospital, you should be able to count on superior care and excellent service. We at Buckley Veterinary Hospital have assembled an expert team of veterinary professionals to bring you the best possible healthcare for your pet. We have a state of the art veterinary facility which is clean, comfortable, and efficient. Call 360-829-1515 to schedule an appointment and we will find a time that is convenient for you.

Once a year, you should take your pet in for a check-up. This will include a full physical exam and a teeth and gum cleaning if needed. Our medical team will check the health of your pet from head to tail, and you will be very happy you came to Buckley Vet for your furry family member’s health care.

Bring in any medical history you have of your pet when you come to our hospital. It’s best to keep a journal of your pet’s health throughout his or her life, including behavioral shifts. If you have something like this, share it with our team. If not, let us know everything that you think will be important. Our medical team will incorporate every piece of information you have.

In some circumstances, we have board-certified specialists with advanced expertise in areas such as internal medicine or surgery who will either join us to help your pet on-site at our practice or who we will refer you to – you are in the best hands at Buckley Vet!

New Client Appointment Reservation Policy

Every client and every pet are very important to us. Whether it be a wellness exam, a sick pet appointment, or surgery, we pride ourselves in making time for all our patients.

Due to the limited number of appointment hours in a day, the high volume of requests, and the adverse effect that a “no show” has for other clients who need to schedule appointments for their pets, we have implemented this policy.

New Client Reservation Deposit:

· New clients are required to pay a $79 reservation deposit at the time of scheduling their first appointment. (Each pet scheduled requires its own reservation deposit.)

· The reservation deposit will be applied toward the first appointment’s final bill.

· The reservation deposit will be refunded if the appointment is cancelled with more than a 24-hour notice. If rescheduled, the deposit will be applied to the rescheduled reservation.

· The reservation deposit will be forfeited in the occurrence of a “no show” and/or cancellation with less than a 24-hour notice

Payment Options

Buckley Veterinary Hospital accepts payment via cash, check, Mastercard, Visa, or CareCredit. Payment is required at the time services are rendered. We provide estimates for all surgeries and hospitalizations. If you have not received an estimate, you are welcome to request one at any time for your expected charges.

No Show & Late Policy

We, at Buckley Veterinary Hospital, understand that sometimes you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. However, when you do not call-in advance to cancel your appointment, you may be preventing another pet from getting much needed medical treatment.

A veterinary/client relationship is built on mutual trust and respect. As such, we strive to be on time for your scheduled appointments and ask that you give us a call when you are unable to keep your appointment. As a courtesy, we provide reminder texts, emails and/or phone calls before your appointment.

Missed appointment policies are outlined below.

Late Arrival Policy: We make every effort to be on time for all our appointments. Unfortunately, when even one patient arrives late, it can throw off the entire schedule for that day. In addition, rushing or “squeezing in” an appointment contributes to decreased quality of care. Therefore, a client that arrives 15 minutes or more late to their scheduled appointment will be rescheduled. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause.

Cancellation of an Appointment: In order to be respectful of the medical needs of other patients, please be courteous and call our office promptly if you are unable to show up for an appointment. If it is necessary to cancel your scheduled appointment, we ask that you call at least 24 hours in advance. Appointments are in high demand, and your early cancellation will allow another patient access to timely veterinary care. If it is after hours, please leave a text message or message on the hospital voicemail

Appointment No Show Policy: A “no show” is a client who misses an appointment without cancelling it. A failure to be present at the time of a scheduled appointment will be recorded in the patient’s chart as a “no show”.

* The first time there is a “no show”, we will contact you via phone/text/ email to inform you of the missed appointment and remind you of our “no show” policy. You will be required to prepay the $79 exam fee per pet to schedule another appointment which will be put towards that visit. ***If you are a new client and miss your scheduled appointment without notifying us by phone, text, or email beforehand, you will be automatically removed from our client list and unable to book future appointments. ***

* A 2nd occurrence will result in no refund of the $79 deposit. You will be able to reschedule one final prepaid appointment at an additional $79.

* The 3rd occurrence within one year will result in you being removed from our client list and unable to book future appointments with our veterinary practice.

*We appreciate your patience, understanding and support in these trying times.
